Young children need special help in preparation for entrance tests at 6+ / 7+.  They must feel secure and enjoy learning to do their best in a selective assessment. It is essential that girls and boys develop a feeling of confidence in their abilities and are not placed under undue - and unrealistic pressure to perform.

Our tutors understand how young children learn best and are sensitive to their needs. The tutor prepares girls and boys for assessment in English, Mathematics, Verbal & Non Verbal Reasoning tests, which usually take place in the January prior to entry the following September.  Most schools also like to talk informally to the children. 

TTA provides short or long-term preparatory tuition. The programme places particular emphasis on children acquiring skills and self-confidence.

Our tutors maintain close contact with parents throughout the preparatory period and are pleased to discuss children’s progress.
